You've been through the interview and selection process, and - CONGRATULATIONS - you are joining ZU soon!
In the offer package of materials emailed to you, we have requested a number of documents, copies and pictures. Promptly returning the documents requested is essential to help us facilitate your hiring, visa processing and arrival in the U.A.E.
Each Emirate (Abu Dhabi and Dubai) has different requirements for visa processing - thus the type of passport photos and documents requested are also different.
Passport photos are asked for in standarad sizes. Why? Because the local authorities establish the requirements and they are very specific. Help us to help you by sending us the photos in the size and format requested.
The documents requested in your offer letter (and noted in the top section of the checklist below) must be scanned and emailed to ZU - HR within ten days. Original documents shall be required upon arrival.
Documents noted on the checklist can accompany you and be brought to Day 1 of Orientation or your arrival at work.
Be prepared! Start early!
Requirements can change - be prepared and arrange for attestation of all important documents - plus bring the originals with you in case they are needed in future for you, the employee, and your family members. This includes:
Attesting documents can take some time – several months in some countries - so start the process early.
Update November 6, 2009 - We recommend that you bring, with you on the airplane, attested copies AND originals of important documents that you may need in future - this includes documents such as birth certificates, diplomas or degrees of the employee and family members, marriage certificates, drivers licenses, etc. By having them here with you in the U.A.E., you have easy access should the need arise to present original or attested documents.
