    • Students in their major programs and in graduate school will use Infoasis to refresh skills and to practice advanced research techniques needed for this level of study.

Students in Secondary Schools and Other Students in the UAE and Beyond

  • Use Infoasis to learn the information literacy skills you will need to succeed in college and for lifelong learning!
  • Please be aware that some screens may include information specific to Zayed University, particularly those relating to online databases and reference resources. Many of these resources, or similar resources will be available at other schools and universities. If you have questions, please discuss with your librarian or with teachers at your institution.

This tutorial will provide a basic introduction to information literacy. At the end of this tutorial students will be able to:

  • Understand the concept and value of information literacy
  • Develop a unique and focused research question
  • Use print and electronic tools successfully
  • Evaluate print and electronic information critically
  • Understand how to access and use information ethically and legally
  • Document research using the APA style guide
  • Complete a short bibliography in order to demonstrate skills learned
