Finding Articles
Now that we've looked at finding books and reference sources, let's move on to finding articles. You'll need them for your research.
There are different kinds of articles.
- For instance, did you realize that the entries you find in an encyclopedia are called articles?
- Some of the information you find on the Internet could also be classed as articles.
- When you read the stories in newspapers and magazines, those are articles too.
- Finally, and maybe you haven't looked at these yet, scholarly journals also contain articles.
The articles we are interested in finding in this lesson are those from newspapers, magazines and journals.
To differentiate them from all other kinds of articles, we call them periodical articles. (You remember what a periodical is, right?) |
