To cite an item, follow these steps:

1. Find your information source from books, articles, movies, interviews, web sites, etc.

2. Collect and identify the information needed for the citation. Take careful notes, or get good printouts.

3. Use citation examples and your notes to create correct MLA or APA citations for your sources. Use the tips and links below to view and use MLA or APA citation rules and examples, either online or in print.
