Before joining Zayed University, Dr. Aly served as a tenured professor at Ohio State University. He is still on leave from OSU and active with Ohio State's Middle East Studies Center and remains a Faculty Associate to the John Glenn Institute for Public Service and Public Policy. Dr. Aly is returning to OSU this summer.
Dr. Aly is a research fellow of the Economic Research Forum for the Arab countries, Iran, and Turkey, and he is co-editor to the Middle East Business and Economic Review and on the editorial board of the Journal of Development and Economic Policies. Last year, Dr Aly was elected to the executive board of the Middle East Economic Association and currently serving as a treasurer for this international organization. In addition to teaching at Ohio State University, he has taught, researched, and consulted in many countries in the Middle East, including Egypt, Kuwait, Jordan, and Tunisia. Most recently, Dr. Aly served as a Senior Fulbright Scholar at the United Arab Emirates University.
He is widely published (over 30 articles) in peer reviewed international Journals in addition to many chapters and edited volumes. |

Kay Henry joined Zayed University in August, 2004, as Assistant Dean of the College of Business Sciences (Dubai Campus). Her previous employment was at Rice University, Houston, Texas, USA, where since February 1998 she served as the Director of the M.B.A. for Executives program at the Jones Graduate School of Management. At Rice, she was responsible for the design, marketing and delivery of the M.B.A. for Executives, as well as for teaching Executive Education and M.B.A. classes. Her subject areas include negotiation, leadership, management communication, and team dynamics.
Ms. Henry’s other academic experience includes teaching the core management communications curriculum for M.B.A. candidates at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School of Management. Prior to her work at M.I.T., she spent five years at Harvard University, managing an international program on privatization and management reform for the Harvard Institute for International Development. Her responsibilities comprised curriculum development, marketing, and implementation of this program, as well as teaching government officials from thirty countries. Her academic training focuses on language and communication, with Masters degrees in linguistics and French literature from the University of Kansas, and Ph.D. work in linguistics from the University of Missouri.
Ms. Henry’s international experience includes the first-ever Fulbright Women’s Leadership workshop in Cairo, Egypt, leadership training for the Egyptian Ministries of Education and Foreign Affairs, and annual negotiation training for Harvard University’s Management of Foreign Aid program in Nairobi, Kenya. In addition to her academic work, Ms. Henry has consulted frequently to corporations on issues of diversity and gender. |

Kenneth Preiss

Kenneth Preiss holds an undergraduate degree with a double major in both Clinical and Organizational Psychology from Flinders University, South Australia, as well as, a Master of Commerce and Doctor of Philosophy from The University of Melbourne. He is a former Director of Coopers & Lybrand W.D.Scott (now PriceWaterhouseCoopers in Australia).
Dr. Preiss specializes in entrepreneurial enterprise creation, venture development and corporate/business strategy creation, development and implementation. He has consulted to corporations like Siemens (Singapore), Henkel (Sydney) and Ausdrill (Chile). In addition, he has conducted Action Planning programs for the Indonesian–Australia Specialised Training Project. Dr. Preiss has presented television programs on corporate/business strategy development and implementation, entrepreneur enterprise creation and growth and the Action Planning approach to management.
Dr. Preiss has lectured in organizational behavior, innovation creation and diffusion through informed marketing strategies, corporate and business strategy development and implementation, as well as, entrepreneurial venture creation and growth. He has taught in business schools at Hochschule Bremen Germany, The University of Melbourne, the Victoria University of Technology, Western Sydney University, the Central Queensland University, University of Technology, Sydney, Northeastern University, Boston USA and as Professor of Strategy and Director MBA program at the Australian Graduate School of Entrepreneurship, Swinburne University of Technology.
Dr. Preiss currently holds the position of Professor of Management at Zayed University in Abu Dhabi. He is a member of the European International Business Academy and also the Academy of Management. He is the recipient of the Academy of Management (Entrepreneurship Division) Award in recognition of outstanding service to the Academy for International Liaison. |

Kenton D. Swift

Kent Swift is a professor in the College of Business Sciences at Zayed University. He currently teaches in the both the undergraduate business program and in the graduate business programs. He is an active researcher, and actively participates in a variety of University and College service activities. Service activities include participation in the College of Business Graduate Committee, the University Research Committee, and advisor to the Business Club. Prior to his arrival at Zayed University, Dr. Swift was an associate professor of accounting at Montana State University-Bozeman, and the coordinator of their Master of Professional Accountancy program.
Dr. Swift completed his doctorate in accounting at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In addition, he is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the United States, and continues to provide consulting services in the areas of financial management, taxation, and strategic planning. Dr. Swift has published a variety of articles related to income taxation, financial accounting, estate and gift taxation, and charitable giving. His teaching interests include financial accounting and taxation.

Paul Bracken

Professor Bracken is a leading expert in the fields of global corporate strategy and business uses of new technology. He has devoted his research and teaching to the problems top management faces as they deal with the rapidly changing economy and competitive circumstances of the globalized business world. A former visiting professor at Beijing University, he teaches courses on international strategy and organization, global technology management and innovation, and building competitive advantage through information technology. Professor Bracken has created and led numerous corporate executive education programs in Europe, Asia, and in North and South America where processes are used to build leading-edge organizations. Before joining the Yale faculty, Professor Bracken was on the senior staff of the Hudson Institute for ten years. |

Ravi Dhar

Professor Dhar is an expert in consumer behavior and decision making, marketing management, and marketing strategy. In the Business Week Guide to The Best Business Schools, he is listed among the outstanding faculty at Yale. His research involves using psychological and economic principles to identify successful consumer and competitive strategies in the offline and online marketplace. Professor Dhar has presented his work on consumer choice and competition at numerous conferences and corporate gatherings in North and South America, Europe, and Asia. His work has been mentioned in Business Week, The New York Times, the Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Economist, USA Today and other popular press. He has been a visiting scholar at HEC Graduate School of Management in Paris, a visiting professor at Erasmus University in the Netherlands and at the Graduate School of Business, Stanford University. He has published over 20 papers in leading marketing journals and serves on the editorial boards of leading marketing journals. |

Victor H. Vroom

Professor Vroom is an authority on the psychological analysis of behavior in organizations, particularly on leadership and decision making. His 1964 book, Work and Motivation, is regarded as landmark in that field, and his books dealing with leadership, Leadership and Decision Making and The New Leadership, are widely cited as breakthroughs in the study of organizational behavior. A native of Canada, Professor Vroom has consulted to over 50 major corporations, including Bell Labs, GTE, American Express, and General Electric. |
