Prof. Philip Hamill

Philip joined Zayed University in 2023 with a remit for research and graduate studies. During his career he has been responsible for leading the development, and implementation, of institutional research and teaching strategies to support organizational development to promote a high-performance culture. At a national level he has also been responsible for policy and initiatives to support the economic development of the financial services sector in Ireland and the UAE. Philip's personal research agenda investigates issues in corporate governance and finance, risk and information transmission in financial markets. His research agenda has produced a portfolio of peer-reviewed research in leading journals, book chapters and professional publications.
His academic background is in economics and finance with a B.A. (Hons) Economics, MSc in Accounting and Finance, and a Ph.D. in Finance from Ulster University, and also graduated from the TRIUM global executive MBA awarded jointly by the London School of Economics, New York University and HEC Paris. He is a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and is a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.
Ms. Priya Sridhar

Priya joined the Office of Research as Senior Administrative Officer in 2017. She is very experienced at ZU, having joined the University in 2006 and worked in various departments. Her primary role is to help with the operations of the Office of Research, managing the grants (pre awards and post awards) and related tasks.
Ms. Andrea Juhasz

Andrea Juhasz has been at Zayed University since 1999. She joined the Office of Research in October 2024 as the Research Development Coordinator having previously worked in the College of Communication and Media Sciences for the past 25 years.
Andrea is a seasoned professional and has worked in both industry (oil and gas, finance, media) and academia in the UK, Germany and the UAE.
Her academic background is a BA in European Business Management with Languages. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Administrative Management and a member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading.
Her responsibilities in the Office of Research are assisting with:

- Undergraduate Research Scholars Program (URSP)
- Research Standing Committee Support
- Research Performance Reporting
- Consultancy/Contract Research Support
Ms. Fatma AlJanahi
Senior Administrative Officer

Fatma AlJanahi joined Zayed University in 2016 as a Mentor and Educator in the (ECLC) College of Education with an M.A. in educational leadership, where she guided and supported pre-service teachers in developing effective teaching practices.
In 2024, she transitioned to the Office of Research, where she facilitates the unit's operations. Fatma oversees the activities of research centers, manages intellectual property administration, coordinates outreach initiatives, and oversees the operational processes of the Research Ethics Committee to ensure compliance with institutional guidelines. She is dedicated to enhancing research support services, streamlining administrative workflows, and fostering efficiency in institutional research operations.
Dr. Fatma Faisal Said

Fatma Faisal Saad Said took up her appointment as Assistant Professor in August 2019. She currently teaches and contributes to courses in the College of Interdisciplinary studies where she conducts research on the sociolinguistics of bilingual language development in children and family language policy among Emirati and expatriate families. Her research is centered within Sociolinguistics and Applied Linguistics and primarily focuses on the bilingualism of Arabic-English speaking children and their families. Fatma aims to understand factors that contribute to the learning/non-learning of languages within the home and educational domains.
Fatma is an Editorial Board member of Multilingua (De Gruyter) and English Language Teaching (Oxford University Press); she is also reviewer for peer-review journals and various national and international funding bodies. She presents at conferences regularly and publishes on her research, in addition to supervising PhD students. She is also a visiting research fellow at the University of York, UK. She is also the Chair of the Research Ethics committee at ZU.
