The Center for Educational Innovation, in collaboration with the College of Education, hosted Zayed University's Fall, 2015 Professional Development Day on Monday, August 17 and Tuesday, August 18, respectively in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

This semi-annual event provides an opportunity for faculty to share and learn from each other on a variety of topics related to teaching and learning. The day’s theme was authentic and alternative assessment and was kicked-off with a plenary address on outcomes assessment by Dr. Kevin Schoepp, from the Office of Educational Effective. The plenary address was followed by a series of lightening round presentation which led to a variety of breakout sessions on assessment.

Some of the topics titles included “Blending Project Based Learning with Mobile Technology” presented by Paola Trejo Vences and “Assessing 21st Century Skills” presented by Aysen Gilroy.  The CEI will be hosting their Spring 2016 Professional Development Day the second week of January, 2016.
