The Center for Educational Innovation held its first semi-annual Open House on May 11, Dubai campus and on May 13, Abu Dhabi campus. The entire CEI team was available to meet and chat with faculty and staff from across the campuses. The intent of the open house was to provide an opportunity for the CEI team and ZU faculty to get to know each other more and to raise awareness of all the offerings provided by the CEI.

The CEI team has grown in size since it's beginning some three years ago and our ability to support a wide range of teaching and learning activities has increased. Although Educational Technology and Mobile Learning is a part of what we do, the CEI is also strongly involved and invested in support for pedagogical innovation through a series of certificate courses and through rich support for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning.

Attendance was good on both campuses and saw faculty from many of the colleges coming to the CEI offices to see what's brewing and to discuss ideas they had for ways we could work together. A number of very good ideas and the germs of several innovative projects were discussed and got their start at this open house!
